The 2022 Drei Staaten Gruppe Holiday party was held on Dec 4th at the Meritage restaurant
in quaint Glendale square.
About 32 members enjoyed the evening including three new members in 2022.
Mark and Amy Coleman, Gary and Jan Dunbar, and Fred and Ruthie Zacharias.
Welcome new DSG members.
Our private party room upstairs provided time for members to catch up on happenings
in their families during the social hour which preceded the buffet dinner at 5:30PM.
The program after dinner included a thanks to the DSG ladies, with a 356 purse pouch
with an Aveda product inside. Thank you ladies for being a part of our club.
The two annual prestigious DSG awards were then revealed.
Ted and Kathie Hunter received the Tom Oerther “Spirit Award” for their lifelong
participation and volunteer work associated with numerous DSG and Ohio Valley
PCA events. Well deserved Ted and Kathie.
Carl Iseman was the recipient of the “Car of the Year” award. His 1958 356A coupe
won the 2022 Keenland Concours Youth Judges award in the 356 class.
We proceeded to give out door prizes provided by six familiar Porsche businesses.
Peter Boettcher was the lucky one to take home the cool Porsche 356 wall plaque
made of letters and numbers from different license plates provide by Diane Morrel
of the 356 Goodie Store.
Other businesses who provided items were Zim’s Autotechik, Porsche of the Village,
Stoddard’s, King’s Porsche, and Aase Sales. Thanks to these suppliers for their donations.
The event wrapped up around 7:30PM. Everyone enjoyed the time together, and as bonus
the bar in our room had the Bengal-Chiefs game on mute, and we were happy with the result.
